Marina Bay Golf Course announced just yesterday the conversion of its 4th hole to a 664-meter par 6 as the public golf course turns 10 this year. Course upgrading works, including a reconfiguration of the 5th hole, are targeted for completion by end of June.

“As Marina Bay Golf Course reaches its 10th-year milestone this year, we are excited to be the first golf course to offer a par 6 in Singapore. The course upgrading works will definitely complement the clubhouse renovations in offering a renewed and refreshing experience to our guests,” said Mr Ng Ser Miang, Chairman of NCI Golf Pte Ltd.

With the transformation of the 4th hole from a par 5 to a rare par 6, golfers can look forward to a new level of playing experience at this hole. Long hitters may have an advantage if they play consistently, even from the new black tee box. With the pond coming into play near the newly relocated green, this hole will be even more challenging than before.

The 5th hole will be reconfigured to a 180-meter par 3 and the skills of golfers will be put to the test at the undulating green of this hole. Bunkers will come into play near the front of the green while further shots will result in balls rolling off the green.

The course upgrading works will be carried out in two phases over 19 weeks. During the first phase, there will be the creation of a temporary green for the 4th hole and new tee boxes for the 5th hole. The redevelopment works for the second phase include the construction of a new cart path, tee box and green for the 4th hole.

As part of the plans to rejuvenate the entire golfing experience, Marina Bay Golf Course has recently unveiled its new clubhouse facilities after a three-month long renovation. Guests now arrive to a newly designed reception, contemporary lobby and upgraded facilities at the clubhouse. A premier lounge has also been created to cater to special guests.

To enhance the dining experience of guests, The Canopy Café at level two has undergone a new facelift and has introduced a new Japanese Fusion Tapas and Sake Bar with delectable menu offerings in a relaxed indoor setting.

“These enhancement works underscore our commitment to continually drive satisfaction levels and to be the choice golfing facility for the public. We want to thank our guests for their longstanding support and to welcome them to an even better Marina Bay Golf Course,” added Mr Ng.
