Angkor Golf Resort is gearing up to play host to the second edition of the Angkor Four-Ball Championship.
The Asian Golf Industry Federation Golf Facility Member will stage the tournament from April 8-10 with a practice round followed by the 36-hole championship.
“The event proved a great success last year and we’re expecting another memorable week for all competitors this time,” said David Baron, the club’s Director of Golf, who is anticipating a field of more than 100, made up of golfers from around the region.
The tournament will be contested over two rounds of 18 holes, played by Four-Ball Better Ball (Pairs) Stroke Play with the best score to count on each hole.
There will be three divisions – a Championship Division in which there will be prizes for best gross scores, and men’s and ladies’ nett divisions.
The tournament is open to amateur golfers with a handicap index of 28 or below for men and handicap index of 36 or below for ladies, based on the USGA handicap system as of April.
Entry fee is US$285 per person, inclusive of player registration pack, three rounds of golf with caddie and cart, welcome gala dinner, complimentary buffet lunch on two tournament days, scheduled transfers from Angkor Palace Resort on all three days and prizes.
The Angkor Palace Resort and Spa is supporting the tournament. The hotel is offering a stay and play package with three nights at US$495 nett per person (single) or US$405 nett per person (twin share).
