The Vines Golf and Country Club has announced a full reciprocal agreement for its Members with The Cut in Mandurah and Araluen Golf Resort.
In a first for Western Australian golfers, this graound-breaking deal offers The Vines Members the chance to play with reciprocal rights at two other clubs in the greater Perth metropolitan area; Mainly, Members at Araluen and The Cut can also play and stay at The Vines, attracting new visitors to the wine region of the Swan Valley.
The Cut is a magnificent links-style golf course perched high above the ocean at Dawesville, south of Mandurah, and is voted in the top 25 courses in the country, with state of the art facilities including club-house and driving range. It is likened to the courses in Ireland and Scotland, playable and enjoyable all year round.
The Vines Golf and Country Club currently holds reciprocal rights with 17 interstate Clubs, and 32 international Clubs.
“This is a significant benefit to players to be able to have such a variety of course to select from, and two new great courses within an hour’s drive of their home club,” said Club Manager Scott Meiklejohn
“It is not common for Metropolitan courses to have full reciprocal agreements with each other, often the agreements are interstate, regional or international. I believe this agreement will be great for the relationship of the three courses involved, providing benefit to members and attracting more golfers to our courses,” Scott continues.
“We have been looking at how to make the golf club more progressive and what we can offer our members. A universal downturn in memberships across the country drove the decision. Our modern members want flexibility to play a number of courses, that vary in style, therefore challenging their skills, but within striking distance of home or work, so this just made sense. They will not have to have to pay additional green fees to play, as it is inclusive in their membership at The Vines,” according to Mike Stanton, General Manager The Vines Resort and Country Club.
The Vines Golf and Country Club is located on Verdelho Drive in the Swan Valley 35 minutes drive from Perth. It is home to the Novotel Resort, and has a rich tournament history having hosted some of the world’s best players, including Greg Norman, Ernie Els, John Daly, Ian Woosan, Fred Couples, and Annika Sorenstam over the past 25 years.
