Audemars Piguet’s South East Asia Golf Trophy 2016

An exclusive gathering of Audemars Piguet’s distinguished guests and golf enthusiasts from across the region – namely Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia, the 2016 Golf Trophy was held at the Nikanti Golf Club on 13th May, Asia’s first 18 holes & par 72 course, comprising three six hole layouts. Opensince end-2014 and imagined by Thailand’s leading golf course architect Pirapon Namatra, Nikanti’s design incorporates the area’s naturally rolling terrain and environment into the estate development.

Professional golfer, Mr. Lam Chih Bing, also graced the event with his presence. All guests were hosted in the luxurious St. Regis Bangkok over the 3 days, with a series of activities organized by Audemars Piguet including a sit down dinner in the Phaya Thai Palace following the game. Constructed in 1909, the Phaya Thai Palace was built by the order of King Rama V as a royal residence. During the reign of King Rama VI, the Queen was also invited to live in the Palace.

Today, the Thewarat Sapharom Hall & Throne Hall remains. Guests were treated to a royal dinner in the Thewarat Sapharom Hall, spendingan enjoyable evening with finalists of The Voice Thailand–Tee’s Band & Platong Tunyanun. 

The event truly reflected the meaning of ultimate precision and luxury the defining features of fine watchmaking and golf.
